Stay Well Soon!

28 Sep

Around this time in 2009, I received some ‘get well soon’ type cards. This was very, very sweet – however, I hadn’t been sick…Good thing it’s the thought that counts, I guess. 🙂

A theme that will follow many cards from Aunt Hilda:
“Sheila here is a dollar so you won’t be broke. HA.”

The ol’ Switcheroo

27 Sep

I’m sure all identical twins have at least thought about it… Hilda and Gilda switched seats in the third grade and totally got caught.
SILDA!? Really!?

What’s in a Name?

Sibling jealousy hits a new level.
See which name the twins think is the purdiest.

Today’s Lesson: Thrifty Birthdays

25 Sep

With birthdays on the brain, I thought I’d share the cards Hilda and Gilda sent me for my 23rd birthday.

From Gilda
: A unicorn card, unsigned so I can give it to someone else. Thrifty!

From Hilda
: A card addressing her suspicions of the postal service. Also Thrifty!

Meeting the Twins

Traditional story telling follows a chronological sequence. Since I wasn’t around for the beginning of their story, I’ll start with the beginning of my story. Here are video clips of Hilda and Gilda in 1988, the year after I was born.

Happy Birthday!

23 Sep

Hilda and Gilda are 77 years old today. Sounds like a good enough reason for me to start this blog about them to share with the world what they have shared with me. Happy Birthday to the greatest identical twin great aunts I know!
